Topical Bases
Health Pharmacies Carries the following bases:
- PLO - This base is a gel which is two parts Lectithin Isopalmitate oil and eight parts Pluronic Acid Gel 20%. PLO's unigue formula allows it to be absorbed at a faster rate, although it does have a more viscous texture.
- PFB - (Petroleum Free Base) - PFB is an elegant, unscented cream and doubles as an epidermal moisturizer. This base is suitable for vaginal and non-vaginal use.
- Aquasonic Gel - Aquasonic gel is water-soluble and is the best base to use if your patient is hypersensative to other bases. The texture is similar to that of ultrasound gel.
- Ointment - Ointments are non water-soluble, petroleum-based products. We have white petroleum based ointments such as Vaseline© and Aquahor©.
- Lipovan - Lipovan is a commercially prepared liposomal cream.
- Other - We can compound with other commercially avalable bases, such as Cetaphil and other lotions.
